증거기반 경영의 시대, 무엇을 해야
<br>역사상 지금처럼 많은 정보를 적절한 때 접할 수 있었던 시대는 없었다. 하지만 금융 위기로 인해 새롭게 드러난 사실은 우리에게 묻는다. “어떻게 그토록 수많은 똑똑한 사람들이 일관적으로 그런 끔직한 결정을 내릴 수 있었을까?” 뭔가 잘못된 것이다. 고의적 위법행위라는 단편적 지식은 제쳐두자. 문제는 지나치게 많은 중요한 결정들이 이전 의사 결정자들이 해왔거나 ‘과거의 승자들’이 했던 방식을 무차별적으로 ‘벤치마킹’하는 식으로 이뤄졌다는 데 있다. 결론은 하나다. 대참사가 휩쓸고 간 자리를 재건하면서 이제 경영자들은 앞으로 이와 비슷한 실수를 피할 수 있는 방법을 선택할 때다.
