| 최근 세계적인 명문 공립대학인 인페리얼 칼리지 런던(Imperial College London)에서 트라이실릭스(TriSilix)로 알려진 ‘마이크로 실험실’ 칩이 개발되었다. 현장 내 ‘중합 효소 연쇄 반응(polymerase chain reaction)’, 약자로 PCR 분석의 미니어처 버전의 역할을 수행한다. PCR은 체액, 대변 또는 환경 샘플과 같은 생물학적 샘플에서 바이러스와 박테리아를 검출하기 위한 황금률(gold-standard) 테스트로 알려져 있다. |
